Recon Indoctrination Process candidate information. 

Body

Purpose: To provide additional physical and tactical training opportunities, Texas A&M Recon Company is introducing a new program available to first semester freshman as well as any cadet who is interested in participating with the outfit. Cadets would come out with Recon Company for a limited number of workouts and tactics training and be designated as a Recon Indoctrination Process (R.I.P) candidates. While this will not afford them the opportunity to fully join Recon Company during the fall semester, it will provide them with the ability to prepare for a full candidacy in later semesters as well as experience Recon Company’s training.

 

Requirements: Any cadet who has posted a midterm grade of 2.75 or higher, who is in good standing with the Corps of Cadets, and has their outfit CO’s approval may participate.

 

Uniform: OD Green shirt with “R.I.P” stenciled on the front in 5” block letters and black PT shorts.

 

First Training Date: November 5th, 2009

 

An informational regarding the R.I.P program and Texas A&M Recon Company will be held on the 2nd of November after chow in front of the Danger ’79 statue. You may also contact Robert Litvin at litvinaggie@neo.tamu.edu, or go by his room, Dorm 7 room 320.
